Here is a list of some of the frequently asked questions about LiveFlow for Dashboards:

1. How can a client be added to my dashboard?

To share a dashboard with a client, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Settings icon (bottom left corner).

  2. Go to Team and add the client's email as a Viewer.

  3. Share the dashboard link with the client. They can open it on any device (mobile, laptop, etc.).

Authentication:

  • The first time the client accesses the link on a new device, they’ll need to authenticate their email using Google, Microsoft, QuickBooks, or Xero.

  • There is no dedicated LiveFlow password—authentication ensures the viewer is the correct person.

  • Once authenticated, they won’t need to log in again if using the same device.

Access Limitations:

  • Clients can only view the dashboard. Other confidential information in your workspace is hidden from them.


2. How do clients log in to view the dashboard? Do they need to log in each time?

  • Clients must be granted Viewer access through your LiveFlow account.

  • Once added, they will need to authenticate their email the first time they log in.

  • They won’t have to log in again if using the same device.


3. How do I get access to dashboards?

  • The Visual Dashboarding feature is an additional add-on.


4. How do I share a published dashboard with a client?

To share a published dashboard:

  1. Click "Publish Live" in the top-right corner of the dashboard screen.

  2. Alternatively, select "Publish Snapshot" (below the "Publish Live" button).

  3. Once published, the dashboard will be accessible to the client in their LiveFlow portal.


5. How do I delete a Workspace?

  • Contact LiveFlow Support directly to request a workspace deletion.


6. How can I change the font size?

  • Click the three lines in the top left corner of the ribbon row in dashboards to adjust the font size.


7. Can I share dashboards with clients so they can interact with them without adding them to LiveFlow?

  • No, currently, clients must be added as Viewers to access dashboards.

  • This is a security measure to prevent unauthorized access if the link is shared.


8. Can I duplicate tabs in the dashboard?

  • No direct duplication feature exists at the moment.

  • However, you can manually replicate the features and settings of an existing tab in a new one.


9. Can I print consolidated financials or LiveFlow dashboards on paper?

  • There is no clean way to export a dashboard to PDF for printing.

  • While you can use the "Print to PDF" function, the formatting may not be ideal.


10. How can I create and use custom formulas to visualize data in a dashboard?

  • Dashboards do not support custom formulas directly.

  • To incorporate custom formulas for data visualization, follow these steps:

  1. Identify Key Metrics: Determine the insights you want to visualize, such as financial data (e.g., revenue, expenses, profitability) or other key performance indicators.

  2. Develop Custom Formulas in a Spreadsheet: Use a spreadsheet tool (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel) to define and calculate the necessary metrics.

  3. Create a Visualization: Utilize the spreadsheet’s built-in charting tools (e.g., bar charts, line graphs, pivot tables) to represent the calculated data.

  4. Integrate with the Dashboard: Since dashboards do not support direct custom formula calculations, you can embed the spreadsheet link directly into your dashboard by adding a component and selecting “embed link.”
