Troubleshooting LiveFlow Sheet Refresh Issues
Last updated: March 9, 2026
If your LiveFlow reports are not refreshing automatically or manually, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
Start with these simple solutions:
Sign out and sign back in - Sometimes reconnecting your session resolves refresh issues
Try manual refresh - Go to Data → Refresh all in Google Sheets
Check for Google Sheets outages - Widespread Google Sheets outages can cause refresh issues. Wait for Google to resolve the outage before trying again
Permission-Related Issues
If only certain team members can refresh the reports while others cannot, this is likely a permissions issue:
Check Workspace Access
Verify that the report was created in the correct workspace that the user has access to. You can check this in the LiveFlow add-in.
Sign Out of Multiple Google Accounts
If you have multiple Google accounts signed in:
Sign out of all your Google accounts
Sign back in using only the email address that has LiveFlow access
Try refreshing the report again
You made a copy of an existing Google Sheet and lost the LiveFlow connection
Directly duplicating or copying a Google Sheets file can break the connection between the sheet and LiveFlow. When this happens, LiveFlow reports (and their supporting tabs) are no longer linked correctly.
At this time, the workaround below is available for Google Sheets users only.
Solution: Recreate the workbook using LiveFlow templates (Google Sheets only)
Instead of duplicating the file directly, use LiveFlow’s Start from a template feature to safely recreate the workbook while keeping all LiveFlow connections intact.
Follow these steps:
Open a new Google Sheets file
Create a new sheet from Google Drive, or
Type sheets.new into your browser
Open the LiveFlow extension in the new sheet
Click the menu in the LiveFlow extension and select Start from a template
In the pop-up, select Import from spreadsheet (at the top)
Copy the link to the original Google Sheet you want to duplicate
Paste the link into LiveFlow and click Preview spreadsheet
Review the list of LiveFlow reports found in the spreadsheet
Click Import from spreadsheet
What happens next
LiveFlow will recreate:
Your LiveFlow reports
All supporting and linked tabs
This process may take a few minutes. Once complete, the result will be equivalent to duplicating the workbook—without breaking LiveFlow connections.
Summary
❌ Directly copying a Google Sheet can break LiveFlow reports
✅ Use Start from a template → Import from spreadsheet instead
📊 Your reports will remain fully connected and functional
If you have questions or run into issues during the import, LiveFlow support can help.
