Why am I not seeing the LiveFlow extension in my Google Sheets or Excel?

Last updated: February 10, 2026

If you’ve installed LiveFlow but can’t seem to find the extension in your menu or the app store, it usually comes down to account permissions. Because LiveFlow uses a white-list system for security, your access is tied specifically to the email address registered in our system.

1. Check Your Signed-In Email Address

The most common reason for a "missing" extension is being signed into a different email account than the one associated with your LiveFlow workspace.

  • For Google Sheets: Look at the profile icon in the top right corner of your browser. Ensure the email address matches the one where your LiveFlow license was issued.

  • The "Multiple Account" Scenario: If you are signed into multiple Google accounts at once, Google Sheets sometimes defaults to your primary account, which may not be your LiveFlow-authorized email. Try opening the sheet in an Incognito/Private window and signing in only with your authorized work email.

2. White-Listed Access Only

You may notice that you cannot find or download the LiveFlow extension directly from the public app store.

  • Security Protocol: The extension is restricted to approved email accounts only.

  • The Fix: If you need to access LiveFlow from a different email address, an administrator in your LiveFlow Workspace must manually add that new email as an authorized user. Once added, the extension will become visible and accessible to that account.

3. Verify Workspace Permissions

If you are signed into the correct account but still don't see the extension:

  • Ask your Admin: Reach out to your team lead (or the person who manages your LiveFlow subscription) to confirm your email has been added to the workspace.

  • Refresh the Add-in: In Excel, go to Insert > My Add-ins to see if it needs to be manually reloaded. In Google Sheets, refresh the page after switching to the correct authorized account.
