How to Duplicate LiveFlow Reports in Excel
Since Excel handles LiveFlow connections at the file level, the best way to create a copy is by duplicating the entire workbook. Duplicating individual sheets or tabs within Excel will only create static copies without LiveFlow connections.
Method: Duplicate the Entire Workbook
Important: Unlike Google Sheets, Excel does not support duplicating individual LiveFlow‑connected sheets. If you duplicate a sheet/tab within Excel, it will create only a static copy that will not appear in Manage Reports or refresh with live data. You must duplicate the entire workbook to preserve LiveFlow connections.
Use this method when you want to create a template or a secondary version of your current reporting suite.
Save Your Current Work: Ensure all recent changes in your active Excel workbook are saved.
Create a Copy: * Go to File > Save a Copy (if using Excel for the Web or OneDrive).
Or, locate the file in your File Explorer/Finder, right-click the file, and select Duplicate or Copy/Paste.
Open the New File: Launch the newly created Excel workbook.
Refresh Connections: * Open the LiveFlow add-in by going to the Home tab and clicking the LiveFlow icon.
The extension will recognize the existing reports in the new file.
Update Filters: If this copy is for a different client or time period, go to Manage Reports and update your global filters or drill-down settings. If you only need one sheet from the duplicated workbook, you can delete the unwanted sheets—the LiveFlow connections will remain intact for the sheets you keep.
