How Can I Bulk Upload Or Copy Account Names Into A Consolidation Group?
Last updated: February 9, 2026
Use case
You want to bulk create subaccounts in a consolidation group instead of adding them one by one—typically when setting up a custom chart of accounts for consolidation.
This can be done by copying account names from Excel or Google Sheets and pasting them directly into LiveFlow.
Before you start
Make sure:
All account names you want to add are listed in a single column in Excel or Google Sheets
Your consolidation group already exists (or you’re ready to create one)
The relevant entities are connected to the group
Step-by-step: Bulk upload account names into consolidation
Head to the LiveFlow web app at app.liveflow.io
Navigate to Consolidation
Open an existing consolidation group or click Create New Group
Make sure your group is set up by adding the entities you want to consolidate
Navigate to your Excel or Google Sheet where your account names are listed in a single column
Highlight the account names you want to include as subaccounts (for example, accounts under Income)
Copy the list using Ctrl + C (or Cmd + C)
Navigate back to Consolidation and your consolidation layout (for example, Profit & Loss → Income)
Next to Income, click the + icon to add a subaccount
Paste the copied list using Ctrl + V (or Cmd + V)
LiveFlow will automatically create each pasted line as its own subaccount.
Where you can use this
You can bulk upload subaccounts for:
Profit and Loss sections
Balance Sheet sections
Cash Flow Statement sections
Once the accounts are added, you can proceed with your account mappings as usual.
Summary
Bulk uploading account names is the fastest way to build out a consolidation chart of accounts. As long as your accounts are copied from a single column, LiveFlow will create them all at once when pasted into a consolidation group.
If you’re setting up a large or complex consolidation, this method can save significant time.
